Lost Cities – Lost in Probabilities
Ever wondered how to lead an expedition? In Lost cities players will acts as an archeological leader deciding an area to explore and wait for a sponsor. Beside act as an expedition leader, player will also acts as accountants at the same time because the ultimate goal of the game earning the biggest profit from your expedition

Basically, Lost Cities is very easy to play because players only do 2 actions in their turn, namely:
1. Put one card on the expedition board or put it on one of the discard piles according to its color
2. Take 1 card from the top deck or card from the discard pile

Easy isn't it?

What makes this game interesting is because the card placed on expedition board must be a card with a higher value than the previous card and each time a player decides to place the first card on one of the expedition boards they already have to invest 20 points and points are only earned by adding up the total value of the expedition on the board

The second factor that makes this game more interesting is the wager card. The function of this card is as a multiplier point, so if there is one then the points in that column are multiplied by 2, if there are 2 then the points will be multiplied by 3 and so on. And to put it more challenging, wager card can only be placed at the beginning, not in the middle or at the end of column cards.

At each turn, players are always faced with interesting choices, namely whether the player wants to start an expedition or wait for a wager card, whether this card can be placed now or waiting for a smaller card, even to assess whether it is safe to discard this card. This decision will tend to gets harder after we starting to know what color the enemy is playing and our need for cards is also getting more specific.

It's the decisions and tension that are made every turn that make this game appealing to me and my wife, and we also like the ease of setup, so we can play it several times after a hard day work. We also recommended this game for couples who like games with a high level of interaction.
